Online Royal Oak School or Teacher Library Card Application

Please fill out this form to register for a library card for your child in grades K-12 in Royal Oak schools.

You may also use this form to register if you are a K-12 teacher at a school located in Royal Oak.

Please note: children who go to school (grades K-12) in Royal Oak but live in another city are eligible for a library card that must be renewed every school year.

Important Notes for Teacher Cards:
Teachers working in K-12 schools located in the City of Royal Oak will be issued cards allowing 9-week borrowing privileges (no renewals) for ROPL print materials that are to be used for their curriculum needs. Items in the Trending Titles, Library of Things, Vinyl Records, Makerspace collections, and other restricted loan materials are not available under this policy. Teacher Card registrations must be renewed annually.

Teachers who live in Royal Oak and already have a personal ROPL card also may use this form to request a Teacher Card, for use at Royal Oak Public Library only, that is valid for 1 year, with the borrowing restrictions noted above.

Teacher Cards will not be mailed. Online applicants will be notified when their card is ready to pick up at the Royal Oak Public Library; photo ID with home address and school ID are required to verify the account.
