The Royal Oak Public Library (ROPL) will issue cards to employees of companies located in the city of Royal Oak. The card may be used only at the ROPL and registration must be renewed annually. Depending on your city of residence, you may be eligible to visit your home library for a card with full consortium privileges that may also be used at ROPL.
ROPL also offers non-resident cards for purchase for those who do not work or live in Royal Oak but who would still like to access ROPL resources. The fee for a non-resident library card is $100.00 per person for one year. This allows access to ROPL's services but not to reciprocal privileges at other TLN libraries. Please send a check for the required amount to Royal Oak Public Library, Attn: Access Services, 222 E. 11 Mile Rd., Royal Oak, MI 48067, call 248-246-3719 to pay over the phone by credit card, or pay in person at the Circulation Desk.
For non-resident employee cards, card numbers will be sent via email, if provided, and the physical card will be mailed to your home address. For purchased non-reside cards: after payment is received, your library card will be mailed to you. If the card is returned undelivered or the payment is rejected, the card number will be blocked until the situation is resolved.
